Garden makeover....

Hello! Happy Bank Holiday weekend :)

Just wanted to share some photos of our garden makeover, which has kept us busy over the pass few months, now nearly complete :)

We felt it was time to clear out all the over sized shrubs and start garden all over again, with a few changes along the way...So love gardening & seeing beautiful flowers, but sadly it's been deleted over the last few years with my Dad very ill & then passing away.

Anyway here goes..sorry picture heavy!

Before...June 16

Aug 16..Conifer hedge at bottom of garden coming out.  Over grown shrubs,  perennials & bird bath lost in there . also after this removed old dead tree and more from behind railway fence, did ask permission from British railway first.

March 17 ..4ft fence going up, so much lighter & seems to extend garden...feels so much bigger :) and gained about 4/5 ft for walled garden..Yay! more plants :)

May 17..Nearly complete,! Bench around corner and grass to sort out next..Lot's of new young plants to take care of now and once they are bit more established will look super :)

Changed patio shape with existing slabs from around garden to make more room on left hand side for table & chairs...love the new sleeper edge, again opening up the garden to feel bigger. Used the bricks that was there from wall  to add height to bottom of the garden wall.

Now one big border from top pergola/decking area right down to meet patio area, filled with Roses and perennials :) on trellis, honey suckle, climbing Rose & Clematis. New path/edge, so plants can trail over edge, no more Lady Mantle killing grass edge....lol  Bench still needs to be painted grey.

Pergola/decking now much more open,  with out hedge & fence there. Wall has been extended to go all way across bottom of garden now and great idea of Hubby's to add a bit of left over sleeper to make a sit :)

Hope you likely!

Enjoy your weekend, hopefully the sun will come back out again.

Thanks for stopping by :)

My daughter has been busy!.....

Hiya...Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! shame it's nearly over again :)

Just want to firstly say a BIG thank you for all your lovely comments and messages you left me on my last card/post!  much appreciated :)

Well my daughter has only 4 days left at her primary school now :( and wanted to make some special cards and a cake all by herself for her 3 teachers. As she will be busy both Tuesday and Wednesday evening with the district sports event and the leavers disco, we thought it best to make the cake today!

It's a Victoria sandwich with strawberry jam under all that pink icing...lol with yummy chocolate flowers and hundred and thousands sprinkled on top....she had great fun!

All the cards have been decorated inside too, with a insert added with a personalized message added for each teacher....so sweet!

Fab'n'Funky DT Card #249 ~ Shaped Cards...and new craft goodies :)

Hiya...hope your week is going well!

It's time for a great new challenge over at Fab'n'Funky  our lovely Ginny has chosen a fab theme....

Shaped Cards

Our wonderful sponsor this week is
Prize: 3 digis of winners choice

We were very lucky on the DT and got to play with one of the fabulous Lacy Sunshine images and I chose this little cutie called Desiree Dragonfly found HERE

For my shaped card I made my card blank using a Go Kreate XXL Square Frames Frilly #10 Die.
The pretty flower was made using my new Sue Wilson dies "Faux Quilled Blooms" and the gorgeous Dragonfly and Butterflies that seem to team up well are from the Joanna Sheen Signature Dies Range - Butterflies and Dragonfly SD037...can't believe I have had these over a year and only just used them.. Ooops!

I have been asked to show what craft goodies I brought at the Make it Show Farnborough last Friday, so here goes...

Just a few dies lol...chuffed to bits with the Tonic Studios Layering Die Sets got them in the Square and Circle plain, Scalloped and Threaded Scallop...the larger sizes are going to be so handy :)

New LOTV goodies :)

Embossing folders - Heart Lattice, Fancy Lattice, Daisy Lattice
Papermania bags contain paper pad, blooms, diecuts and buttons all for £5.00 each :)

Got a bit carried away with the card packs when he shouted out all packs now £2.00 each (half price) and he let me have the 100 sheets of smooth white card for £5 instead of £10 :)

Well think I made up for it, not getting any new crafty stash from Santa last Christmas lol...that's my lot for this year!
